Daniel started running in the 6th grade, running round and round the school building during lunch. He felt so much better... no yet knowing the running produced dopamine that he needed to make his brain work right. He dreamed and researched and practiced to be an Olympic runner, but his genetic profile did not match that level of running. But he got close. He was 5th in the New Jersey marathon and finished in the top 10% in the Boston Marathon.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 8 semesters with a degree in Nutrition Science and almost got his Masters in Sports Nutrition at Marywood University in Pennsylvania. He backpacked solo over 2,000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail -- combining his knowledge of nutrition with relentless physical exertion and the focus of total isolation. He lived one summer in his camper pickup truck in Huntington Beach, California, and got a job as a Fitness Coach at LA Fitness. He completed the LA Marathon and many other marathons. He drove his truck to Joshua Tree National Park and had a hard time leaving. He drove back to Texas to live at the family homestead in Lake Jackson, in his studio apartment with an attached yoga studio.
After years of appointments with 14 different doctors, in 2018 he finally found a doctor who did the extensive testing that led to the diagnosis of Autism and he finally got the medications that enabled him to reach for his goals with a good chance of success.
The last project Daniel was working on was creating a podcast named "The World of a Neurodivergent Guy". He had put together a broadcast studio in the corner of his yoga studio and was working on the scripts.

Daniels first vehicle was a 1997 Dodge pickup truck that did many cross country trips. With the camper top, it was his home for a few months in California.
Daniels second vehicle is this 2013 Jeep Wrangler that is still parked in the garage. It never needed any repairs and got stuck at the beach only once.

7/1/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then since Daddy stayed home all day I weedeated and mowed. I made nine dollars. Then I helped Daddy get stuff in the van. Then I packed all my own stuff up. Then I watched T.V. and did some other stuff. Then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/2/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got the rest of the stuff picked up. Then Daddy got all the stuff in the van. Then I got ready and we left. First we got a car wash on the road first. I tried to find a game to play but I couldn’t so instead just sat and stared out the window. We stopped one time for gas the whole day. We ate lunch at Dairy Queen. Then we decided we would get to Becki’s house and stayed the night. When we got there we looked around at the house and brought our stuff in. Then we had leftovers they had made for supper. Then we went on a walk and on the walk we went to some parks. Then we got in the car and looked for souvenirs but couldn’t find any. But we did get donuts for breakfast. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
7/3/1994 Today I got up and ate donuts for breakfast. Then we left Beckie’s house and started to drive. Then we ate lunch later in the day. Then we went to Scottie’s business. Then we got to Grant and Laurie’s house. When we got there we brought our stuff in. Then we ate hamburgers for supper and I hated them. Then Justin and I went and shot off some fireworks with some of his friends. When we were doing it some kids started shooting fireworks at us so we quit doing it. When I got back to Justin’s house I took a shower. Then I went to bed.
7/4/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got dressed and went to Grandma Warren’s house. We ate lunch there and I just hung around at her house until we left. Then we went back to Grant and Laurie’s house. Then we went to a big fireworks show at the arch in St. Louis. We sat there and watched the fireworks for about 30 minutes. Then when the fireworks were done we left and went to the van and went home. Then when we got there we didn’t do much. Then I just took a shower and went to bed.
7/5/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got all of my stuff packed up. Then I said goodbye to everybody and we left Grant and Laurie’s. Then we drove all morning and I didn’t do much. Then I ate lunch. Then we drove for the rest of the day and I didn’t do much. Then we checked into the hotel. Then we went out and ate supper. Then we played in the pool a little. Then I got my stuff unpacked. Then I watched a little T.V. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
7/6/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then everybody except Daddy went with us to eat lunch. Then we went back to the hotel and me and mommy shitted a lot and stank up the bathroom. Then we went back out and tried to find a movie theater but we couldn’t so we just walked around an old town and shopped a little. I bought some old rings from the store. Then I ate some frozen yogurt. Then we left the town and went back to the hotel. Then when we got there we swam in the pool. I also played a video game and some pool. Then we went and ate supper at the hotel restaurant. Then we went back to our room. Then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/7/1994 Today I got up and got my stuff all packed up. Then I ate breakfast. Then we drove a lot. Then we ate lunch somewhere and kept driving. I didn’t do much while we were driving eat sit. When we got to Denver we checked into a hotel. After we were done we brought our stuff into the hotel. Then we went and ate at a restaurant, mostly all they had was vegetarian food. I liked the meal I had though. When we got back to the hotel April and Ryan swam in the pool. I went to the gift shop but didn’t buy anything. Then we went back to the room and watched T.V. a little. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
7/8/1994 Today I got up and packed up. Then we checked out of the hotel. Then we left and started driving. I didn’t do much but sit all morning. Then we ate lunch somewhere. Then we started driving again. I didn’t do much after lunch either but just sit. When we got to the hotel we checked in and we went to see our room. When we saw it we thought it was creepy so we went to another hotel that was a lot better. Then we brought our stuff to the room. Then we went to the pool and swam. Then we had to get out and eat supper somewhere. When we got back to the hotel I watched some T.V. then took a shower and went to bed.
7/9/1994 Today I got up and got my stuff all packed and checked out of the hotel. Then I ate breakfast. Then we started driving again. I didn’t do much but sit all morning. Then we ate lunch somewhere. Then I just ate in the van all day. Then when we got to the hotel we checked in and brought our stuff in. Then we ate supper somewhere. When we were done with that we went back to our room and watched T.V. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
7/10/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got all my stuff packed up. Then Daddy brought everyone’s stuff out to the van and we checked out of the hotel. Then we drove for an hour and we stopped at Lassen Volcanic Park and walked around. Then we left there and started driving again for a few hours. Then we ate lunch somewhere and started driving again. Then a little bit later we stopped at a big tree house. Then we started driving again until we got to the hotel. Then we checked into the hotel and brought our stuff in. Then we went across the street and washed the dirty clothes. Then we went back and ate somewhere. Then we went back to the hotel and watched T.V. some. Then I took a shower and went to bed.
7/11/1994 Today I got up and got ready. Then I got all my stuff packed up and Daddy brought it to the van. Then we went to a place and ate breakfast. Then we started driving and got to the redwoods. We drove around the redwoods for a little while and took some pictures there. Then we drove for a little while and ate lunch. Then we started driving for some more hours. Then we stopped at some wooden places beside the road. Then we got to the hotel. When we got to the hotel we brought all our stuff in. Then we went and ate out at a restaurant. When we got back to the hotel we started watching T.V. Then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/12/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got ready. Then we left and started driving. We drove until we got to a winery. We went on a boring tour and tasted some wines. Then we went and ate lunch at a restaurant. Then we went to another winery and went on another tour and tasted wine. Then we went to another winery and did the same thing. Then we went back to the hotel and swam in the pool. Then we went and ate supper somewhere. When we got back we swam in the pool again. Then we went in and took a shower. Then I watched some T.V. and went to bed.
7/13/1994 Today I got up and got my stuff packed up and Daddy put it in the van. Then we left and drove for a few hours. Then we got to San Francisco. We walked around and bought some stuff and looked at some old ships. Then we ate lunch there too. Then we started driving for some more hours until we got to the hotel in front of the beach. I brought all my stuff in. Then we went and walked on the beach and picked up sand dollars. Then I had to go in. When I got back to the hotel I got ready and we left to eat supper. We ate supper and went back to the hotel. I watched some T.V. when we got there. Then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/14/1994 Today I got up and got all my stuff together. Then I got dressed and we checked out of the hotel. We drove for a few hours until we got to the Hearst Mansion. The Hearst Castle is a big house that Randolph Hearst lived in. We went on a tour through it. Then we went and ate lunch. Then we drove for a few hours and got to the Lullen Mary. When we got there we checked in and brought our stuff in. Then we went and found a place in the ship to eat. We ate supper there. Then we walked around the ship and saw everything. When we got back to the room we watched some T.V. then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/15/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got all my stuff packed up. Then we checked out of the hotel and started driving. We drove for a few hours and then we ate lunch somewhere. Then we started driving more until we got to the Phonrcium. When we got there we checked in. Then we brought our stuff in to our rooms. Then we got our swimsuits on and went to the pools. We went on the waterslide. When the waterslide closed we went to the pools. Then I dried off and we went out to eat. When we done eating we went back to the hotel. Then we watched some T.V. then later I took a shower and went to bed.
7/16/1994 Today I got up and ate breakfast. Then I got my swimsuit on and went to the waterslide. I waterslid all morning. Then I went up to the room and ate lunch. Then I went back outside and waterslid some more. Then at the end of the day when the waterslide closed I had to go back to the room. When I got back to the room I had to get dressed and we went out to eat. We ate at the California Kitchen. Then we went back to the hotel. After we got back we started watching a movie. Then later I took a shower and went to bed.
